4 ways to wear a Shirt-Dress

Recently I bought a superb shirt-dress from Addition Elle (find it here) and I thought it would be interesting to show you 4 ways to wear that classic piece.

(To see the video version of this, head to my Instagram @EmyNeedsARaincoat)

1. Perfect for work

Shirt-dress, belt and high heels were bought at Addition Elle.

This look is very simple and is perfect for work (when we go back, of course!)

For this look, simply add a belt to create an hourglass shape, and put on some high heels.

I work at a desk, so it’s easy for me to wear high heel without complaining but I know.. High heels are not for everyone.

2. Casual Boho

Shirt-dress and black sandals were bought at Addition Elle / Black jeans: Lane Bryant / Purse: FabFitFun / Sunglasses: Fendi

This look is very versatile. Here, I wore my favorite black jeans by Lane Bryant with an old black tank top under my unbuttoned shirt-dress.

The boho elements are tying the whole look together: you could wear a pair of flats or sandals, with purse with fringe or a woven straw bag, and with sunglasses or a hat. Go with what you own.

3. Athleisure look

Shirt-dress, wire free bra, leggings and sneakers were bought at Addition Elle.

This third look is perfect if you are staying home, or if you want to go out with some friends in the afternoon, keeping it casual..

I simply wore the shirt-dress open on my favorite wire free bra (from Addition Elle, available here) and leggings, with a comfortable pair of sneakers (similar to these ones) and voilà!

And if you want to cover up a little more, just button up the shirt dress on top, and tie a knot with the bottom part like this! Comfortable and stylish!

4. Going out

Shirt-dress, belt, faux leather jacket, leggings and boots were bought at Addition Elle

When we will be able to go out, I will wear this outfit for sure! I love it!

I wore my shirt-dress with a belt and leggings, and I decided to put on my faux leather jacket and my cheetah print boots (to see the complete look with the boots, head to my Instagram to see the quick 2 minutes video in my IG TV)

This faux leather jacket is simply stunning. It looks and feels like leather, but without harming animals in the process. Get it here!

And that’s it!! 4 looks you can achieve with things you already have in your closet!

Let me know, which look is your favorite in the comments!
