As I was walking in the Sephora store downtown Montreal, I came across the LaNeige Goodnight Kit. This trial size pack includes the famous Lip Sleeping Mask, and my Water Sleeping Mask that I already tried and love <3 This Goodnight kit is only 13$ Canadian, so heh! Why not!
I told you about the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask in my blogpost about my Beauty Routine a couple weeks ago, how I was intrigued about this product. Well, I finally tested it!
What you need to know is that every night before going to bed, I apply some lip balm to prevent my lips from cracking and be dry in the morning. I started doing this when I was a teenager, and I still do it everynight. It works really well. Through the years, I used BonneBell funky sweet flavored lip balms, Maybelline Baby Lips brand, EOS and lately EOS Crystal lip balm, and they all do a great job!
In the Goodnight kit, you get a sample size of the Lip mask, but nothing to apply it… CRAP! If you folow me on Instagram, you know I always have long nails and it kills me to have something (food, makeup, hair product) stuck under it. I simply cannot just dip my finger in this lip balm and apply it, I will waste a lot of it under my claws.
I had a an extra lip brush in my makeup bag, so I decided to use it with the Sleeping Mask. It has a really smooth and clear texture, with a hint of a berry smell. You apply it before going to bed, and wash it off in the morning if some product remains on your lips.
After 2 weeks of testing, I can say that I didn’t see an improvement from my old lip balm “treatment”. My lips are still soft and smooth in the morning, and are still dry at the end of the day.
I will continue to use it, because it’s not a bad product (and I paid for it), but I will not buy it again. It’s way more expensive than my drugstore lip balms, to achieve the exact same results.
Have you tried this LaNeige product? Did you like it? Am I using it wrong? Let me know!
